Individual coaching

We see the world through the lens of our personal values, beliefs, assumptions and judgements about how the world should work. We are a product of our personal history and this influences how we respond to events in our life. It influences how we understand and respond to others, it effects how we make decisions and it effects how we work. In general, most of us navigate our way through life fairly successfully. But sometimes, our personal filters can cause blocks that prevent us from achieving our goals. Coaching helps individuals to understand the beliefs, values and behaviours creating such blocks and helps them to change to more productive ways of thinking and acting.

Who is it for?

Coaching is aimed at those people in the organisation who would like to develop themselves further and overcome personal blocks hindering professional success. They might wish to: develop their personal effectiveness; develop skills needed for their career (i.e. leadership qualities); improve professional performance; explore new career options or develop coping strategies to manage stress.

How does it work?

An individual coaching package generally consists of a series of twelve coaching sessions. The coach and coachee will meet weekly to work on the coaching objectives. The first session will focus on goal setting and the journey ahead. The subsequent sessions will be a work in progress, focussing each week on achieving the objectives. The final session of the series will be a completion and consolidation session, looking back over the coaching journey to review the progress to date and to draw up a Personal Action Plan for further development.

What are the benefits?

The coaching outcomes will be directly related to the individual’s coaching objectives. However, below are examples of possible coaching outcomes.
